Breaking News!
Effective January 1, 2012, any person fishing within 24 miles of the Mexican coast is required to have an FMM, which is a Mexican Immigration Permit. Currently the cost of the FMM is $35.
Dana Landing has FMM Permits available for private vessels. The FMM Permit is good for 1 to 3 days.
This is NOT a tourist visa. It is a special immigration permit that allows you to fish within 24 miles of the Mexican coast.
A 180-day Tourist Visa cannot be used in lieu of the FMM.
An ID is required to purchase an FMM.
Any type of ID is acceptable but you MUST have the ID used to purchase the FMM with you when fishing.
To purchase, you will need the following:
First and Last Name as it appears on your ID
Sex
Nationality
ID Type
ID Number
Vessel Name
Vessel ID NUmber (State Registration or Documention Number)
Date entering Mexican water
Date returning to US water
note: the FMM must be returned within 24 hours of return
